Follow-up to my post from 09/17/08.  A supervisor from CEFI contacted me this morning and indicated they have reviewed our file and have decided to honour the original agreement to pay the full EAP amount.  

wow...thank God i found your forum, An agent is calling me from CEFI and telling some good and sweet words about their company.But now I have read your experiences with CEFI, I'll ignore and cancel my appointment to them.I'm planning to get an RESP for my son, so what's the best thing I should do? What bank offers a good RESP?

Great for you, that you found this forum. Please do not sign up with CEFI. As RESP guy mentioned there are better ways to invest money for your child’s future education.
I never went for an alternative RESP but RESP guy left some information here. I am sure that every local bank branch can help you better and cheaper to find a great way to invest your money and get some government benefits.

I lost everything which I save in last 3 years, I was depositing 167/kid per month and i lost everything as i cancelled my contracts. they are scam. I think we need to save other people . Please make a joint effort and do something
